How to find your Frends UI and tenant?

First, you will need to navigate to your Frends tenant URL address, which has the following structure:

https://{TENANT NAME}.frendsapp.com/

Within the Frends tenant URL address, the text {TENANT NAME} should be replaced with a name you chose during the initial Frends onboarding process. Typically the name is simply the name of the organization or corporation utilizing Frends, for example, https://acme.frendsapp.com/.

The Frends UI is navigated utilizing the top menu of Frends, which is available and visible on all views of the platform:

Dashboard View

The dashboard is used to aggregate and display various types of monitoring data designed to give you an overview of the health and KPIs of the integrations that are of interest to you. Unlike the other menu options, the Dashboard can be accessed by clicking on the Frends logo on the leftmost side of the navigation menu.

API List View

The API List View is the first menu item in the top menu and is used to access the API Management functionality of Frends.

Process List View

The Process List View is the most important view for you as it is the main integration catalogue, where you can view all of your created integrations as well as access the governance features and monitoring data of your integrations.
Typically, both development and operation actions begin from the Process List View.

Subprocess List View

The Subprocess List View is similar to the Process List View, but with the key difference of Subprocesses being a part of main-level Processes and as such cannot be independently used. As the aim of Subprocesses is to enable the implementation of typical layered or hierarchical architectures, they still have their own development, operations, and governance functionalities separate from the main-level Processes.

Environment Variables View

The Environment Variables View is used to create and manage Environment Variables, which are centrally stored pieces of data that you can use to manage important variables within your integrations such as passwords, usernames, server addresses, and more.

Administration dropdown and underlining Views

The rest of the Views and functionalities within Frends are hidden away under the Administration dropdown menu. Various governance and administrative features are available under the Administration, but these can be hidden away depending on the User Role configured for you. You will learn more about these features in later courses as they are not important for you to start development on the platform.

Other helpful tools

The bell icon offers notifications functionality. This will give helpful information on the release notes of the current version of Frends and notify users about different things that are affecting the Frends tenant or Agents.
