Visual approach in Process development

With visual approach you model integrations by developing visual diagrams instead of creating a set of code lines. In Frends you model the required integration flows by using a BPMN based visual graphical user interface. Integration flows are called Processes in Frends.

You most likely have heard about low-code. That is another term used in the context of visual approach.

Below is an example integration Process diagram created in Frends.

The visual approach has several benefits:

  • Visual representation is intuitive and fast to read and understand.

  • It is easy to learn and use.

  • Understanding Process logic is easy even for those with no deep understanding of the technical side of it.

  • It is easier to communicate Processes to a wider audience.

  • The documentation of the Process is created as the integration developer creates the integration.

  • The same visual representation can be used in monitoring.

  • It enables using low-code integration development.

  • It enables faster integration development.
