Visual approach in Process development
With visual approach you model integrations by developing visual diagrams instead of creating a set of code lines. In Frends you model the required integration flows by using a BPMN based visual graphical user interface. Integration flows are called Processes in Frends.
You most likely have heard about low-code. That is another term used in the context of visual approach.
Below is an example integration Process diagram created in Frends.
The visual approach has several benefits:
Visual representation is intuitive and fast to read and understand.
It is easy to learn and use.
Understanding Process logic is easy even for those with no deep understanding of the technical side of it.
It is easier to communicate Processes to a wider audience.
The documentation of the Process is created as the integration developer creates the integration.
The same visual representation can be used in monitoring.
It enables using low-code integration development.
It enables faster integration development.
