Frends Architecture Overview

The Frends iPaaS service consists of a central cloud-based management platform with capabilities to enable the usage of the service and remote integration runtimes (also referred to as Frends Agents) to execute integrations created using the Frends iPaaS service.

Frends consists of:

  • The Frends Control Panel

  • Frends Runtime Systems in which:

    • A typical Environment configuration contains Development, Test, and Production Environments

    • Agents in Environments are grouped in Agent Groups.

The Frends Control Panel is used for administrating integration Environments, developing integrations and APIs, and monitoring integrations.

Agents execute the Processes deployed to the Agent Group.

Development, Test, and Production systems represent customer's ICT applications integrated with Frends solutions.

See the module "Overview to Agent Deployment Scenarios" for examples of different Frends deployment scenarios.
