Tagging and Grouping Integrations

Tags are a function which visually link Processes together in the Frends Control Panel. Tags help find Processes from the Process List View and allow you to manage user access to different Processes. Tags are also a great way to group Processes which share similar functionality or have similar output results. In this module we will take a closer look at the best situations for using Tags and how you can take advantage of them.

Tags are added to Processes after the build phase. You can add a Tag to a Process from the Process List View. Tags are added to a Process in the database level, and when using the Tags, the Control Panel will use the Tags in the queries. This enables the use of Tags when searching for Processes in the Process List View. There is no limit on how many Tags you can add to Processes, but too many Tags in one Process reduces the usefulness of the Tags. You are able to search for Processes with Tags by selecting Tags as the search attribute in the search bar.

Tags also help when searching for Processes via the database. You are able to search groups of Processes using Tags from the database.

Tags can also be used to grant or deny user access to a group of Processes. Note that in order for this functionality to work the Processes can only have one Tag. If there are multiple Tags linked to the Process, the user access management won't work.
