How the Frends learning paths and certifications work.

Frends offers a collection of learning paths designed to guide you through mastering the Frends Platform, regardless of your role or experience level. These paths are organized to take you from foundational concepts to advanced expertise, with each path building upon the knowledge gained in previous ones.

Whether you are a developer building integrations, an IT support professional managing the platform, or a project manager or IT service owner working in tandem with the integration experts, there is a clear progression that will help you achieve your learning goals and prepare for Frends certifications.

Learning Path Structure

The learning paths are organized into three levels and three different tracks, each targeting specific roles and skill levels.

The Fundamentals path serves as the essential starting point for everyone, providing a cross-section of basic concepts from integration development, operations, technical architecture, and security.

From there, the paths branch into three specialized tracks:

Finally, the Master of Frends track brings together sophisticated topics from all areas for experienced users ready to tackle the challenges with deeper understanding of the platform specifics.

This structure ensures that you can follow a clear progression while also allowing you to focus on the areas most relevant to your role.

Available Certificates & Progression

For those new to Frends, the journey should begin with the Fundamentals path. This introductory path provides the essential knowledge needed to work with the Frends Platform and prepares you for your first Frends certification, the Fundamentals certificate.

Once you have completed the Fundamentals, your next steps depend on your role and responsibilities.

Developers and architects should proceed to the Integration Development path to master Process and API creation. This learning path will take you towards the Integration Developer certificate and further towards Senior Developer certificate, which shows that you have mastered even the more complex integration challenges.

IT support professionals, integration owners, and project managers will benefit most from the Operations & Management path. This path aims towards completing the Operator certificate, proving you have mastered the administration of the platform, from day-to-day operations like adding new users to keeping the platform up to date with version updates, as well as managing the integrations in a continual development and deployment cycle.

In addition to these role-specific learning paths, an additional supportive path called Technical & Security Topics will assist you in learning how the Frends Platform operates behind the scenes. Basics of these topics are already included with the Fundamentals path, with additional information and knowledge being required for the Senior Developer certificate before finally culminating to Master of Frends certificate.

Advancing to Expert Level

After completing the role-specific paths, experienced users who want to achieve expert-level proficiency should pursue the Master of Frends path.

This comprehensive learning path combines the advanced topics from all earlier learning paths, including advanced integration patterns, enterprise API management, large-scale operations, and comprehensive security implementations.

The Master path is designed for those who have solid experience with Frends and are ready to implement complex, enterprise-grade solutions while being able to set up a new Frends Tenant from scratch. Completing this path positions you as a Frends expert capable of handling the most challenging integration projects and leading platform initiatives within your organization.
